Got 2 Move

I was moving into a new house and was extremely hesitant to trust a company to handle all my belongings. The staff of Got2Move handled all of my furniture and fragile items with care and were such nice and personable people. Great experience and would definitely work with them again for future moves!

By far one of the best moving companies I have experienced. These people really care about you and your valuables. They treated my furniture with so much care and wrapped it up so that it would not get damaged and asked me where I wanted everything. Some companies just drop your things off but they made sure everything got to the right place and most importantly that I was satisfied! Will use this company again in the future.

I am so happy I found this company! I recently moved a short distance and Got2Move was eager to help, showed up on time and I never felt like my items were in jeopardy. I trust this company and would highly recommend to anyone needing movers. Everyone I spoke to from the first call to the movers were friendly and helpful.

A great long distance moving company! We are retired military and have made plenty of moves in our 22 years of service. Got2Move was professional, thorough, and courteous! From the moment of my first phone call they bent over backwards to provide for our needs. We moved my 83 year old mother into her new home and they were extremely courteous and respectful to her. Their pricing was excellent! I will use them again in the future!

I was referred to Got2Move from a friend who had previously hired their moving services. We hired them to help move my sister locally and their service was great. Their customer service and communication was quick and easy. My sister has alot of collectible and fragile item and they handled her belongings with care and professionalism. The staff was patient and flexible with our specific requests. I definitely recommend Got2Move for your moving needs and will be using their sevices in the future.

I have used got2move at least five times over the last several years. They are extremely professional, knowledgeable friendly and helpful. They took great care of all of our stuff and coordinated the logistics of the move really well. I also think their price are quite reasonable and fair. I definitely will be using them again next time!

We recently moved from Los Angeles to San Francisco, and were looking around for a good mover. A friend of ours recommended Got2Move so we decided to give them a try, and were so happy that we did! They took great care of our belongings, and made the move easy!

Be prepared to spend A LOT. Their hourly rate is very reasonable ($135/hr). but these guys are slow and just not very efficient, so the total fee due is much higher than you’d expect since the job takes so long. The two men each had one dolly, so they were making so many back and forth trips to get my boxes to/from the freight elevator. Previous moving companies I have used have used rolling bins in addition to dollies, allowing them to make fewer loading trips back and forth. We were running way behind schedule – it took my movers 3 hours to load and leave from the first location. Please note that 1) I live alone (tiny 1-BR apt), and 2) corporate relocation put me up in temporary housing (meaning that my apt only had my clothes and few furniture items – queen bed, TV stand, 2 TVs, nightstand, kitchen table), and 3) the second location is 2 blocks from the first location. Given all of this, you’d expect the movers to be able to complete the job in 3-4 hours, but nope it took them 6 hours ($135 x 6 hours + additional fees = $838)!.

The movers dragged the metal beam from my bed and it scratched the hardwood floors in my new home (see photo below). Really sad for a new homeowner 🙁

The reason this review is not a 1-star is because the two movers were professional and had great attitudes. But I have to reiterate that these guys were not very efficient with time and management refused to give me a concession on the final bill even though I expressed concern to Alex (manager) about timing during the second hour (that’s how early I noticed how slow these guys were moving).

I was sure we would have to leave things behind on our 10′ U-Haul truck but got2move was able to pack everything up quickly, efficiently, and safely. Really great work under stressful circumstances.

Update to my 2019 rating: my partner and I trust Got2Move in spite of them running three hours late to our apartment move last year without communicating the delays they’re experiencing to us. Our reserved street parking expired, and we had to stand on the street to keep the space. To make up for it, they added a fourth person for free to the three-man crew and finished in three hours.

Fast forward to 2020, we needed to move to a bigger space outside the city; Got2Move not only got us an appointment in record time but also accommodated our request to move it up a couple of days earlier. They arrived virtually on time and took great care of our stuff as per usual (my partner has used their services for two prior moves).

All in all: great and much improved customer service, solid and methodical crew, happy customers.
