A+

A+ service. Edward was great as were the other two guys. Excellent customer service. Pickup was on time as was delivery of my furniture. There is not much more to say as I would highly recommend this company for your moving needs. My delivery was actually delivered earlier than I expected.

No box for mattress, no boxes for lamps. Thank God the movers were resourceful and prepared lamp boxes. I was assured the mattress would be put in a box at the warehouse. It was not. I called our rep and she never returned my call. The moving men were terrific. The office staff not so good.

I was under the assumption that the movers were going to pack the items, therefore I did not pack items that are in my garage. Furniture items were removed from the house into the garage, and outside furniture was moved to my driveway… NOTHING WAS PACKED… Nothing was loaded… Nothing was shipped to the new house. The furniture removed to the garage was not taken back into the house, I hope the cold weather does not destroy it! It was a total fiasco and grave disappointment. I called the company. Asked to have the furniture moved back into the house, said they would, so far no one has showed up… the very least they should have done is put it back into the house.

The men also packed and moved a farmhouse in North East, PA. They did an excellent job with that house. HOWEVER, they never came back to the Dorn Road house to ship these items along with the farmhouse. THEREFORE I AM ASKING (not demanding, yet) that I be reimbursed $2000.00 for them not completing the job that I was told would happen. I would like these items to be put back into the house, or shipped immediately. If neither is done I demand a refund, and I will go elsewhere for the remainder of my move in the next month. The amount that was charged is outrageous especially since the job was not finished nor done correctly. A RESPONSE WOULD BE APPRECIATED ASAP! STILL WAITING!

The name has a great reputation for moving – problem is the sub-contracted labor has no right to be in this business. The movers threw our household goods into boxes, they used our clothes as packing material, they did not follow any direction and did not finish the pack-out. They dropped our flat-screen TV at least four times, jammed our clock in with a painting and knew they had bent the clock up. We called and the support was not existing.

This company has been an absolute nightmare to deal with—easily my worst experience with any company. The sheer magnitude of misrepresentations and lack of client care goes beyond what I can convey here. Beware, they are truly awful! The sales rep conveniently omits crucial details in discussions and forgets to include essential items like boxes, unpacking options, and third-party service timelines in the quote. The final bill ended up being a staggering $3000 more than the original quote. To make matters worse, the company supervisor’s level of concern and care was nothing short of rudeness. I strongly caution anyone reading this review against using this deceitful company that inflates prices, misrepresents services, and displays a shocking disregard for their clients. Steer clear at all costs!

I moved from Atlanta to Laredo TX. The salesman from North American Stone Mountain GA – Ian ** has lies to me repeatedly. He over promised and undelivered. He sat on vital emails from 3rd party vendors. I will NEVER recommend your company again. I have also NOT received a receipt from my AMEX transaction – close to 20 K. In my opinion Mr ** is the worst display of the company.

Move went smoothly. Martin ** and crew worked efficiently and smoothly. All belongings were wrapped and handled carefully. Martin and men communicated well with the owner. Truck arrived promptly at destination and was unloaded without delay. Belongings were handled carefully and placed where directed. All were accounted for before van left. All in all the move went well.

We paid more than $10,000 to North American/Allied to move a 4-bedroom home out of state; we had a number of issues. First, the representative took very careful inventory of everything and yet the final weight came in above the estimate even though we eliminated a golf cart and moved an entire truck load of furniture and boxes ourselves. Next, the moving crew on the other end put many items in the wrong place even though each was clearly marked with the room where they belonged, so over the days we had to move things ourselves to where they should have been placed before even beginning to unpack.

The worst, however, was that after several days of unpacking and rearranging boxes we realized a number of thingss were missing. We contacted North American/Allied and they directed us to fill out a claim form, which we did. Several weeks later we received a blanket denial of our claim because we, the customer, did not inspect the shipment before the movers left to be sure every item was accounted for per their contract. I can’t even imagine how many hours it would have taken to go through every single box – we had more than 500 items to account for in a 4-bedroom, 2-story house plus outdoor furniture and boxes piled up in the garage. The movers of course did not remind us to do this, but rather left in a haste after delivering the last box. For Allied to put the onus on us to inspect hundreds of boxes before the crew left was an unfair and nearly impossible task.

We took a chance on this mover even though we were initially inclined to go with a smaller operator who assured us that we would have the same team throughout the process and that our possessions would be the only ones on the truck. We did not heed their caution about national moving companies losing belongings when moving multiple households and making multiple stops with multiple crews. Do yourselves a favor and steer clear of North American/Allied.

Effortless move

The move – from my very first contact with Donna ** – was effortless on my part. Julie ** was wonderful with the business part. She answered all my questions over many phone calls graciously and she always had time for me. The driver, packers and loaders – Brandon, Paul, Brock – were efficient, fast, and all my belongings and furniture came fine. Nothing was broken. Brandon even gave me hints on how to go about unpacking all the boxes. These guys were friendly and personable. All in all, I would recommend this North American Van Lines agency to everyone!

I cannot say enough positive things about North American Van Lines/University Moving & Storage – I was worried about such a big move from Ohio to Texas but all my worries faded completely with the professionalism shown me from the staff at North American. Blake was so thorough and quite accurate as to the cost of my move. Freida was my coordinator and was wonderfully patient with me and my many questions. Nick was the trucker and his expertise was evident when he delivered my belongings on time and in perfect condition. Prior to my move, I had gotten 4 quotes – of these, Blake seemed the most confident in his estimate and in North American, as a company, to deliver top-quality service. He was right. Thank you to Blake, Freida, and Nick for such a great experience.
