Hi reached out to Reliable for a moving quote. I gave the square footage of the house and a detailed list of all the large items and the number of boxes and what items needed disassembled and reassembled. I was quoted 4hrs, 1 truck, 2 guys. A text response said that “Based on our professional experience, your move will likely take 4/5 Total Hours.” At the end of the 3rd hour, only half the house was loaded. I called to try and negotiate since it was apparent that the quote would very inaccurate. Owner would not budge and had zero sympathy.
The move took 8.5 hours and I had to reassembly everything myself and they still did not get everything from the house. I still have to rent a trailer to get the rest. The price was over double what was quoted and still got less service than what was quoted even with me helping them.
The only reason for 1 star is because the 2 movers themselves were awesome and did their best with the situation they were put in. It is my understanding that this is not the first time they have been put in this exact situation and they deserve a better employer. Transparency, customer service, and ethics would go along way to improve this company.
If for some reason you choose (un)Reliable Moving, I would strongly suggest you take their quote and at a minimum, double the cost and time.
